The first thing we recommend when having an electric central heating system installed is use a comparison site to find a single rate tariff with the supplier of your choice. (Tip: When choosing a tariff be sure to check the tariff info option and have a look at the rate per kWh this is the vital as you want to find the provider with the lowest unit rate).
We highly recommend customers review their energy tariff and provider on an annual basis are these go up and down regularly. Being on the cheapest tariff is key!
Use draught excluders at the bottom of your doors.
Use a programmable room thermostat to control your heating through time and temperature.
Close room doors to keep heat in.
Turn radiator thermostats down in rarely used rooms.
Keep bedroom radiator thermostats at a lower setting of around 3 depending on your needs.
Keep windows closed as often as possible.
Give regular meter readings, this keeps your bills accurate and steady.

What size of Thermaflow does my property need?

The boiler needs to be sized to suit the size of your property. To find the boiler required multiply the total floor area of your property x the ceiling height in metres. This will give the volume in cubic metres.

Take the Length x Breadth x Ceiling Height of each room, then multiply this figure by 60.This will give the output in Watts. Divide this by 1000 which will give the KW. Choose a boiler which has this output.

How much will it cost to run?

There are many factors that come in to play when it comes to running costs such as, a user’s lifestyle, property size and insulation, our unpredictable weather and most importantly different electricity tariffs. On an annual basis we carry out surveys on properties with the Thermaflow boiler installed to show an average of how many kWhr’s our product will use when installed in various homes.

Does an installer need to be a specialist in Thermaflow products to install one?

No, our products are designed and supplied as a pre-plumbed and pre-wired unit with no additional parts or kits needed giving it a plug and play approach allowing ease of installation.

Yes, your heating system is one of the most used appliances in your home and should be serviced annually to keep it in a safe working order.

Electric Boiler Product Warranties

This product is guaranteed for 12 months for any labour charges incurred by a fault on the product due to a manufacturing defect only. In addition the product is guaranteed for 24 months from date of installation for parts subject to an annual service carried out by a competent engineer and a copy forwarded direct to Thermaflow Ltd. either by post or email on completion of the service.

It is advisable that the appliance is serviced annually, any chargeable parts issued within the applicable guarantee period still benefit from the 12 month warranty from the date of issue by the manufacturer.
